Welcome To Louisiana Pickle!

I’m the mother of two constantly entertaining boys, ages 13 and 9.  I am a school teacher and tutor who loves to cook in my spare time (especially in the summer!).  I am married to another teacher/ yard man/ jack-of-all trades.  Currently, we live in the small town in north Louisiana where we both grew up. 

I love making meals and memories with my family.  A lot of the recipes on this blog were passed down from my mother and grandmother; still more focus on the seasonal produce, fish, and game that flourish in Louisiana.

This blog is a way for me to share some of the joy I find in cooking — and a convenient way for me to organize my recipes and share them with friends and family.  I hope you enjoy!
